WHCDC Sponsors Blood Drive on Saturday, June 16 at Howard County Conservancy
In an effort to practice citizenship as well as political activism, the Western Howard County Democratic Club is joining the American Red Cross in sponsoring a Blood Drive on Saturday, June 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Howard County Conservancy Gudelsky Environmental Education Center. The center is located at 10520 Old Frederick Road (Rt. 99), Woodstock, Md.
Red Cross T-shirts will be given to all Donors and first-time ever WHCDC T-shirts will be given to all volunteers and high school students who volunteer or donate. Jim Adams is coordinating the drive for the WHCDC.
“We’re interested in demonstrating that we are concerned, interested and involved members of our community. This is our opportunity to contribute to our community with a gift of life.” Adams commented.
He is asking the club to set a goal of 60 appointments for this first club special project.
Prospective donors are asked to schedule donation times at any 15 minute interval starting at 9:30 a.m. through 1:15 p.m. Plan to be involved for approximately one hour from the time of your appointment.

Be prepared to provide your name, telephone number and e-mail address and preferred time. High School students should contact their school club coordinator.
