Texas Democratic Party Handbook

The most dynamic Democratic Party institutions are found in red state America. This is one of the best resources for party building I've come across. (It's in .pdf format)

Texas Democratic Party Handbook

Now some of it is specific to Texas but much of the rest is applicable to any grassroots organizing. I especially like Appendix D - Event Planning Checklist...

  • Parade Float/Vehicle
  • Booth
  • Hot Dog Picnic, Ice Cream Socials, Backyard Barbeque
  • Potluck Dinner/Barbeque
  • Fundraiser or Dinner Checklist
  • Community/Neighboorhood Coffee Checklist
  • How to Organize a Rally
  • How to Organize a Protest
  • How to Organize a Town Hall Meeting

Check it out.
